Reading as a Coping Tool

Having coping skills can mean all the difference in the world when you're going through life's ups and downs. Use of a coping
mechanism - reading, writing in a journal, going for a walk - should not be put into practice as a way to AVOID. Coping skills are handy in the moment, but we must make a commitment to coming back to an issue so that it can be fully and genuinely resolved.

I also utilize PhotoTherapy techniques in my practice, which integrates bringing in photos that the client has taken or collected as a part of the therapy process.
